FAQ

Some of the commonly asked questions from our clients.

CAN I GET AN ESTIMATE?

The famous answer…. “YES… BUT?”

Many people call us for an estimate thinking they will have to pay for a new roof out of their own pocket.  They may not know they have a valid insurance claim.  We inspect a roof before giving an estimate.

Often we identify storm damage to help the homeowner get an insurance claim approved.  Make sure you do business with a company your are comfortable with and confident in.

WILL AN INSURANCE CLAIM INCREASE MY INSURANCE PREMIUMS?

The short answer is “No”

Storm damage (Hail or Wind) is considered an “Act of God” for which you are not responsible.

MY INSURANCE AGENT TOLD ME TO GET 3 ESTIMATES?

This is a good idea for an insurance claim that you are responsible for… like an auto accident that is your fault or from a water leak.

However, since storm damage is not your fault, for your roof you should find a company you have confidence in.

A good roofing company will do the work for you what your insurance pays plus any deductible.

MY ROOF HAS A 25/30 YEAR WARRANTY, SO I DON'T NEED AN INSPECTION.

Ok, so this is not a question. But we hear this sometimes from homeowners.

The manufactures warranty means the shingles will not fail due to a manufacturing defect for that number of years.  However, the weather where you live will likely determine the useful life of your roof.  With the storms in Oklahoma and Arkansas the life of a roof can be as little as 7-12 years.
