PIPE BOOTS

Roofing shingles may last up to 25 years. But the weakest part of your roof system are your pipe boots. Neoprene pipe boots do not last as long as the shingles themselves. They are likely to dry out and crack in 7 to 9 years.
Dry and cracked pipe boots are a common cause of roof leaks.
